Scream 4 (stylized as SCRE4M) is a slasher and the next episode of the fourth part of Scream. It was directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson, writer of Scream and Scream 2. It stars a cast of David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere.
Campbell, Cox and Arquette are the only cast members returning from the previous films. Originally, the series was designed to be a trilogy, but after ten years, Bob Weinstein thought it was time for another film. It aims to be the first of a trilogy, so Craven and Williamson signed for the duration.
Filming began in and around Ann Arbor, Michigan, June 28, 2010 and ended in September 24, 2010. He is scheduled to be released, April 15, 2011. Cry 4 was announced by The Weinstein Company in July 2008, Wes Craven, saying he would not mind directing the film if the script was as good as Scream.
